Inspired by our travels to the Balearic Islands of Spain, our natural Ibiza Gypsum and Lime plaster is an internal plaster with a natural, minimal aesthetic.

Made in Australia using the highest quality minerals and containing no VOCs, chemicals or additives, Ibiza Plaster is a natural, breathable material that helps to regulate indoor air humidity levels.

A uniquely versatile plaster, it can be finished in many ways, but lends itself to a natural, minimal look. Applied thicker than most plasters, Ibiza Plaster gives a sense of depth and reflects light from within and provides a lightly nuanced aesthetic. Naturally an off-white colour, Ibiza Plaster does not need to be painted and a custom tinting service is available for orders 50m2 and above.

Ibiza Plaster can be applied to internal walls and shelving.
It is a naturally fire-retardant material and is safe to apply around fireplaces and heaters. Ideal substrates include plasterboard, brick and masonry. Ibiza Plaster is not suitable for areas with direct exposure to water, exposure to weather or areas subjected to high impact such as countertops or floors.

FAQ's

What substrates can I apply Ibiza Gypsum and Lime Plaster to?

The best substrate is raw plasterboard (eg: Gyprock), brick, block or hebel. However it can also be applied to FC sheeting (eg: vilaboard) in conjunction with our recommended primer and over painted plasterboard in conjunction with our recommended bonding agent. Please contact us for more information.

Can I use it in my bathroom?

Ibiza Gypsum and Lime Plaster can be used in bathrooms on decorative walls outside wet areas and in conjunction with our recommended micro emulsion sealer.

Is it easy to clean?

As with many coatings, ease of maintenance by 'closing the grain' when the plaster is applied. This means, smoothing the surface with a trowel so that the surface is less porous and likely to catch dirt. Sealers can also be used. We recommend choosing natural sealers that retain the material's breathability. Our plaster can be cleaned with soap and water. Stubborn marks can be given a light sand if necessary. Can it be used outside?

If the area is undercover, protected from the weather and applied to a suitable substrate, Ibiza Plaster can be used.

Is it safe to apply to my wood heater and plinth?

Yes, Ibiza Plaster is naturally fire-retardant and can be used safely on and around fireplaces and heaters. We recommend applying a breathable sealer to assist with cleaning.

Will it chip?

Ibiza Plaster is a durable plaster that is frequently used in commercial settings. However if very strong durability is required (or commercial furniture or on doors) we recommend our Mercadier Decoration microcement. If damage occurs, our material can be patched.
